AshbyCapital, former Heron managing director Peter Ferrari’s investment vehicle, has hired Charles-Etienne Lawrence as vice-president.
Lawrence joins from HSBC, where he was vice-president in the real estate finance division and was responsible for around £3bn of property financings.
He formerly worked at JER Partners and the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Property Week revealed in June that Gerald Ronson’s former lieutenant Ferrari was to launch a property company with £1.5bn to spend in London over the next five years. This is the company’s first significant hire.
It is targeting offices, retail and residential across “prime central London” worth between £50m and £250m.
Ferrari is thought to have backing from a Middle Eastern family.
