AshbyCapital serves up a record MIPIM Tennis Classic

Author: AshbyCapital |

AshbyCapital, the property investment advisory company, was delighted to support the MIPIM Tennis Classic for the second year running, sponsoring the players’ t-shirts and helping the event to smash its fundraising record.

Now in its fifth year, the MIPIM Tennis Classic was held in support of four charities – LandAid, Bright Ideas for Tennis, the Tim Henman Foundation and the Cannes Community Fund – and raised in excess of £50,000 for these valuable causes. This fantastic total far exceeded the previous record total of £35,000, raised in 2018.

With VIP guest star Tim Henman providing wisdom and coaching to the participants and TV presenter and compere Dan Lobb lending vociferous encouragement, the doubles tournament saw 28 players from across the property industry, including defending champions Lucy Arthur and Simon Osborne from AshbyCapital, duke it out in the mid-morning sun at the Cannes Tennis Club. This year’s #MakeARacket trophy was won by Andrew Knights and Jason Dunlop, from The Lorenz Consultancy and Grant Thornton respectively.

While we unfortunately fell short of successfully defending our title this year, we were again delighted to take part in, and sponsor, what is undoubtedly one of the highlights of MIPIM. It’s absolutely brilliant news that the tournament has smashed the previous record and raised over £50,000 for such worthwhile causes. We already can’t wait for next year’s tournament where we hope to raise our game, as well as a new record amount for charity.
