AshbyCapital, the real estate investment advisory vehicle focusing on prime real estate assets in London and key European capitals, has appointed Professor Andrew Baum, William Hill and John Stephen to its newly created advisory board to provide strategic investment advice to its executive team.
Professor Andrew Baum, who has combined business and academic life for the last 25 years, has spent the majority of this time working with institutional real estate investors in developing global property investment strategies.
He is chairman of Property Funds Research, a real estate consulting and research business, chairman of the investment committee for the CBRE Global Investors’ Multi Manager team, a consulting partner with Internos Real Investors and chairman of Newcore Capital Management.
William Hill has worked in investment management since 1985 and became head of the property business at Schroders in 1991. Under his management real estate assets grew from just under £200m to over £10bn. Hill stepped down from this role in November 2013, but remains an advisor to Schroders.
John Stephen, a Chartered Surveyor with over 40 years’ experience in commercial investment markets, retired from international real estate advisers JLL in 2009, where he spent the last six years as chairman of the English business. Stephen is involved in a range of non-exec and advisory board roles with public and private organisations including Exemplar Properties, Evans Property Group and Max Property Group.
