AshbyCapital has signed four new retailers at the Kensington Arcade and Wrights Arcade, React News can reveal.
The deal includes a 2,252 sq ft flagship branch of healthy takeaway outlet Urban Greens, which will open in January 2024.
The company has made Wrights Arcade in Kensington its fourth location in London and first opening in the neighbourhood sector, adding to its branches in Canary Wharf, the City and St James’s.
At the neighbouring Kensington Arcade, lingerie brand Intimissimi has taken a 1,113 sq ft space and Chango Empanadas has taken a 470 sq ft store, both of which are due to open early next year.
Patisserie Aux Merveilleux de Fred also recently opened its new 992 sq ft store in the Arcade. The new retailers are joining existing tenants including Pret a Manger, Leonidas and Gail’s Bakery.
Bought by AshbyCapital in February 2019, Kensington Arcade comprises 26,000 sq ft of retail and offices that form the entrance to High Street Kensington Underground station.
The arcade contains 15 retail units, with three small office floors located above the main arcade.
Rushil Ramjee, co-founder at Urban Greens, said: “When we were searching for our first neighbourhood location to expand to, Wright’s Arcade in Kensington ticked all the boxes – a brand-new high-quality space in a thriving area for residents, businesses and tourists.”
A 924 sq ft retail unit remains available in the Kensington Arcade through Savills and Nash Bond, and a 2,565 sq ft restaurant unit is available at the Wright’s Arcade, through Distrkt.
