AshbyCapital and U+I complete first pre-let at Slough scheme

Author: AshbyCapital |

AshbyCapital and U+I have completed the first pre-let at The Future Works, their new office building in Slough.

The serviced office and co-working firm Central Working, which has 10 sites across the UK, will take 16,700 sq ft across the ground and first floors of the building.

Signing the first letting at any building is always an exciting moment, and Central Working’s decision to take space here is particularly significant as it is not only a testament to the quality of the office space at The Future Works, but also marks the introduction of an attractive additional amenity for other tenants at the building who might want overflow space or meeting room hire.

Simon Hesketh, regeneration director at U+I, added: “Slough has so much to offer businesses and their employees and it’s great to have signed our first pre-let with Central Working, which will see them bring the first high-quality serviced office and co-working offer to the town.”

Phase one of the building comprises 100,000 sq ft of office space and is due to open in June. The Future Works will feature a 3,175 sq ft communal roof terrace, cycle parking, luxury changing rooms and electric car charging spaces.

Cushman & Wakefield and JLL are the agents for The Future Works; Central Working was unrepresented.
