AshbyCapital has agreed two more leasing deals at The Future Works in Slough, meaning more than half of the 100,000 sq ft development has now been let.
The deals with Likewize and Tesco Mobile follow the partnership announced last July with Plus X Innovation.
Global tech protection and support specialist Likewize has leased 14,797 sq ft on the third floor of The Future Works. The company, which has its UK operations in Crewe, Cheshire, is opening a new office in Slough during a period of significant growth.
Moving from another location in Slough, mobile virtual network operator Tesco Mobile has taken the 7,004 sq ft plug-and-play space on the second floor of the building.
This brings the total amount of space leased at the building in 2023 to 45,904 sq ft, after Plus X Innovation agreed a new partnership with AshbyCapital in July 2023 to open a new 24,103 sq ft innovation hub across the ground, first and second floor of The Future Works, which launched in November.
The building’s amenities include a 3,100 sq ft communal roof terrace, Lucy’s Kitchen, an all-day café and a double-height reception.
Sam Vaughan, CFO at Tesco Mobile, said: “The modern, open and airy nature of the space at The Future Works provides an ideal working environment for our colleagues to connect and collaborate. Plus, with being just a stone’s throw away from the train station and local amenities, the location is convenient for colleagues and our visiting partners and guests.”
Andy Morris, EVP of Likewize Europe, added: “We’re moving into this highquality new office space so that we can be closer to our valued clients in the technology and financial services sectors, whilst offering our colleagues an exceptional working environment.
Following the lettings, 44,382 sq ft of office space is available on contiguous floors from the fourth to the sixth, available through leasing agents Hollis Hockley and CBRE, who represented AshbyCapital on these transactions.
Tesco Mobile was advised by Cluttons, and Likewize was represented by Knight Frank.
