AshbyCapital, the property investment advisory company, has won ‘Deal of the Year’ at the Birmingham Office CoStar Awards 2019 for its 11,000 sq ft letting to serviced office provider Orega at The Colmore Building in Birmingham’s city centre.
The lease involved AshbyCapital working with Orega, which also operates 17,000 sq ft of serviced office space on The Colmore Building’s mezzanine floor, to create a new ground-floor co-working area, as well as a further 11,000 sq ft of serviced office space.
As part of the reconfiguration of the ground floor, the on-site &More coffee house has been expanded and rearranged, with a new island bar serving both the existing café area and the new Orega reception and co-working space.
Judges praised AshbyCapital and Orega’s collaboration to transform the ground floor layout. This enabled the refurbished reception, coffee house and new co-working space to flow seamlessly into one another, creating an improved environment for all the building’s tenants.
