Hogan Lovells has taken the eighth floor at Birmingham’s Colmore Building, one of three leasing deals secured by landlord AshbyCapital.

The law firm, an existing tenant at the building, is to move from the 7,620 sq ft space it currently occupies on the 10th storey to take the 23,388 sq ft eighth floor in its entirety.

3PB Barristers, the UK’s oldest and fourth largest chambers, has also taken 4,901 sq ft of space on the ground floor at the building, while another existing tenant has extended the lease on its office space for an additional six years.

The Colmore Building comprises 310,000 sq ft of office space over 14 storeys, of which 80,932 sq ft remains available.

Existing tenants include Vodafone, Allianz, Investec and Grant Thornton.

A recent £3.5m refurbishment programme saw the addition of a gym, treatment rooms, bicycle parking, luxury changing rooms and a drying room, as well as a refurbished reception area and a new 1,000 sq ft café branded &More Coffee House.

Peter Ferrari, chief executive at AshbyCapital, said:

“A tenant extending its lease and an occupier choosing to move to a larger space within the building are fantastic votes of confidence in the improvements we’ve made and amenities we’ve added.”
GVA and JLL are joint agents for the building. Cushman & Wakefield represented Hogan Lovells and 3PB.
