The Kensington Building tops out

Author: AshbyCapital |

Construction of The Kensington Building, our new 130,000 sq ft office and retail development in partnership with Janson Urban, has now ‘topped out’, ahead of its planned completion in winter 2021.

Marked by a topping out ceremony on the roof of the building, the redevelopment of The Kensington Building has progressed at pace, with the superstructure of this inspiring new place to work now complete. The design and construction of The Kensington Building has been marked by its approach to sustainability. 0% of construction waste has gone to landfill; 100% of electricity comes from renewable sources; and re-purposing the building’s existing frame has reduced CO2 emissions by around 35% compared to a typical new-build office building.

Designed by award-winning architects Pilbrow & Partners, The Kensington Building offers 94,629 sq ft of office space across six storeys, with ceiling heights of up to five metres and terraces on the upper three floors. Totalling 12,000 sq ft, these terraces will provide exceptional views over Kensington as well as private outside amenity space.
