AshbyCapital LLP, the real estate investment advisory company focusing on prime real estate assets in London and key European capitals, has supported Stand Up To Cancer by donating the use of its 200 Aldersgate building for the London 3 Peaks Challenge.

The challenge, part of Stand Up To Cancer, the joint national fundraising campaign from Cancer Research UK and Channel 4, saw 400 competitors climb 2,088 steps up three of London’s most iconic buildings (30 St Mary’s Axe, 110 Bishopsgate and 200 Aldersgate), with a 5km run in between, culminating with a 185ft abseil down 200 Aldersgate. An area for a reception after the event was also provided at 200 Aldersgate, to congratulate those who completed the challenge and give them an opportunity to rest and refuel.

Participants, who included Boardwalk Empire and This Is England actor Stephen Graham, helped the wider Stand Up To Cancer initiative to raise in excess of £14.5 million. The London 3 Peaks event was featured on Channel 4’s live show for Stand Up To Cancer, aired on 17 October 2014.

Stand Up To Cancer is an excellent initiative that we are very proud to be supporting. All those who abseiled down 200 Aldersgate as part of this challenge have helped raise a significant amount of money to fund pioneering research that will save lives; offering our building was the least we could do to help Cancer Research UK in its important fundraising activities
