Owner AshbyCapital has signed shared workspace operator Orega to an expanded letting at The Colmore Building in Birmingham.

The deal sees Orega take a ten-year management agreement, operating a new co-working area built into the building’s coffee house and reception extending their previous letting of the entire mezzanine floor.

Orega has also signed for 11,000 sq ft of new serviced office space on the ground floor, adding to the 17,000 sq ft it already operates in the building. As part of the restructuring of the ground-floor space, the building’s on-site &More coffee house will be expanded to serve both the existing café area and the new Orega reception and co-working space.

The Colmore Building comprises 310,000 sq ft of Grade A office space over 14 storeys and has achieved an ‘excellent’ BREEAM rating and ‘platinum’ WiredScore connectivity rating. It underwent a £3.5m refurbishment in 2016 with works to rearrange the café and reception due to complete this summer.
